January Meeting

January 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

 AGM and  Elections will take place at the January meeting 

January 28, 2026 at Heritage House in Riverside Park at 7:00 pm.

If you’re interested in putting your name forward for an Officer position, serving as a Director for one of our committees, or joining a committee as a member, we’d love to hear from you. Please email thekamloopsgardenclub@gmail.com to let us know.

The following information provides an overview of the duties and expectations of the club positions.

ARTICLE V:  DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS

  1. President:  shall preside at all meetings of the Club, examine all correspondence, and arrange for proper action to be taken and ensure that all Club business is properly conducted.

  2. Vice-President: shall preside at meetings in the absence of the president and/or at least one meeting during his/her term of office and assist the president with his/her duties when required.  They shall also organize speakers/presenters for the monthly meetings.

  3. Secretary:  shall record the minutes of the meetings, receive all correspondence, and present it to the meetings and attend to the Club’s correspondence as directed.

  4. Treasurer:  shall be the custodian of the funds of the Club, expend funds upon the direction of the membership or executive board, give monthly report of the Club’s income and expenditures and give an annual report of the Club’s financial standing at the Annual General Meeting.

  5. Membership:  The membership chairman will be responsible for keeping the membership list up to date.  They will take payments from the members and forward the dues to the treasurer.

  6. Facilities Liaison: Will be responsible for booking the facility for all meetings and extra events, as well as looking after parking passes for members.

  7. Social Media: shall look after the club Facebook page and Instagram, and other media as determined time to time.

  8. Member at Large: this member will be willing and able to help with any duties as required by the elected officers and is considered a learning position.

  9. Past President:  Will be there to offer guidance to the president and other officers.

Directors:  shall be responsible for tasks and duties as deemed necessary by the officers. These are not voted positions, but committees.
